Most people don’t know it, but Philadelphia’s oldest neighborhood was founded by the Swedes, not the Brits, right here in the late 17th Century. History still lives in Queen Village, and many of its streets and alleyways look remarkably like they did centuries ago. It’s a mostly low-rise, residential neighborhood, gentrified in an unpretentious way, with a lively mix of families and young people, plenty of neighborhood restaurants and parks, and a lovely river view. With I-95 at your doorstep, getting in and out of town is especially easy. |
